SECOM Japan have been providing IT Services within Japan for the past 20 years and as a result of their success in this area will be opening up new data centres this year in Tokyo and Osaka during October and November.
Since December 2000, SECOM Trust Systems Co., Ltd (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroshi Ito), a group company of SECOM Co., Ltd (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Shuji Maeda) have been providing IT Security Services from “Secure Data Centres” supported by SECOM’s best-in-class security for both Physical and IT company infrastructure.
Together with the acquisition of AT TOKYO Corporation (@Tokyo) in the last year, SECOM are providing this service as the largest provider of data centre’s with a gross floor area of more than 230,000 meter squares. These data centre aims to host and protect customers IT servers and in the event of an earthquake to provide a safe place for customers to be able to start up their business IT systems from the centre as a stand alone resource.
Following the Tohoku earthquake in March 2011 and the prediction of the Nankai Trough earthquake that could occur, SECOM is opening new data centres in Tohoku and Osaka due to a high demand from their customers. The new data centre in Osaka will enable SECOM to provide a data centre ‘server’ service to the customers based in the Kansai region as well as providing backup location to the customers in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Combined with SECOM’s various IT security services such as “Information security service” or “Consultation to Business continuity plan”, SECOM is broadening and adding value to it’s unique and secure data centre service.
