SECOM Secure Stations

SECOM Secure Stations

National Accounts Executive, Ian Bathorpe, has been successfully working in partnership with a number of train operators some of whom have received the highly sought-after Secure Stations Award.

The Secure Stations Scheme represents a national standard for passenger safety and security on Britain's railway stations.

The Secure Station scheme is managed by the Department for Transport working with the British Transport Police, where strict criteria must be met to achieve the accolade with good CCTV coverage being one of the key objectives.

This is important to SECOM Plc because they have spent many years working in partnership with rail clientele with Ian Barthorpe in National Accounts leading the way.

In the rail sector engineers have to work to some very strict health and safety requirements, nevertheless SECOM are very proud that their efforts are contributing factors for these rail operators being awarded “Secure Stations” status.
