Intersec 2013 'success for British firms'

The Intersec 2013 exhibition in Dubai has been a success for the members of the British Security Industry Association's (BSIA) Export Council who made the trip.

They reported a high level of visitor interest across a wide range of innovative UK security system solutions, including its access control, CCTV systems, perimeter protection, intruder alarm and power supply technology.

A survey, conducted by the BSIA's Export Council, revealed that 80 per cent of firms observed a growth or no change in visitor numbers compared to last year - a record for the event.

Caroline Strickley, export services executive at the BSIA, said "The strong UK presence reflects the importance of the region and, crucially, the appetite that there is out there for the best of British security solutions."

She added that Intersec has once again shown itself to be the ideal platform for companies to promote their solutions and is now one of the most important exhibitions worldwide.
