IFSEC International to move to London in 2014

IFSEC International, one of the biggest security systems conventions in the world, is to move to a new home next year.

UBM Live, the organiser of event, has announced that the start of the next chapter in its 41st year will begin at ExCel in London in 2014.

This year, the event was held at the NEC in Birmingham between May 13th and 16th and almost 30,000 visitors came to see the latest in security systems and services - an increase of 2.4 per cent on the figures from 2011.

UBM explained that the move will not halt the popularity of the event as more than 87 per cent of the floor plan has already been rebooked in London.

"Showcasing a broad range of innovation across the industry, hosting prestigious industry awards, identifying market educational demands with the wide range of unique workshops and conference programmes have resulted in an uplift of total attendees," said Charlie Cracknell, event director for IFSEC International.
