Lone workers are always going to be your most vulnerable employees. However, sometimes you won’t be able to avoid having a member of staff spend a portion of their shift alone, whether they are security guards working at night or a driver delivering goods across the country.
To protect these employees, SECOM offer an innovative solution that will enable you to safeguard your lone workers. SecomProtect is a simple mobile communication device – disguised as an ID card holder – which allows staff to record audio, capture evidence of abuse and raise an alarm if necessary.
Of course, SECOMProtect is more than just an alarm button. The benefits of the system make it an essential for lone workers, giving them the peace of mind they need to go about their jobs without worry.FIND OUT MORE
At the push of a button, the alarm is raised discreetly and safely to our own, state-of-the-art, Control and Command centre. The lone worker’s call will be monitored by one of our dedicated operators, giving them peace of mind and the assurance they are not alone.
SECOM’s Control and Command centre is BS8484 accredited, so should our operatives receive an urgent alert, we can bypass the 999 system and go straight through to the appropriate police force.
For added peace of mind, the Status Check button gives feedback on the strength of the GSM network signal, GPS coverage and battery life. We are also able to provide an option for Man Down functionality which raises an automatic Red Alert in the event of a lone worker being incapacitated as a result of a fall or an unexpected health issue - by detecting tilt in combination with non-movement.FIND OUT MORE
Through the push of a button on the device the lone worker can leave a short voice-message through the unit outlining any contextual information about the situation they are entering i.e. name, location, activity and any apparent risk. This information is then accessed by the operator in the event of receiving a ‘Red Alert’.
To raise a red alert the lone worker presses a button on the rear of the unit prompting the device to call SECOM’s own Manned Response Centre:
- Call monitored by a dedicated operator
- Response centre to determine location by GPS
- Audio is recorded for future use should it be required as evidence
- Alert escalated to your chosen contact for that lone worker
