Integrated security solutions prove popular at Intersec 2012
27 January 2012

Businesses are showing growing interest in integrated electronic security systems, including CCTV and intruder alarm technology.
Members of the British Security Industry Association's Export Council have roundly praised the positive response and attendance levels at last week's Intersec 2012 exhibition in Dubai.
There is strong demand for UK security products and services, underlined by the interest shown in the range of products on offer.
BSIA Export Council chairman John Davies explained: "We believe we are well placed by participating in events like Intersec to provide critical advice and guidance for our members and their prospective customers, so helping to forge strong and productive business links."
Notably, there were particularly high levels of interest from the Middle East, including Iran and Iraq.
However, growing awareness of threats to UK businesses will no doubt have boosted interest in the event.
The latest figures from the British Retail Consortium indicate that thefts at UK retailers have been rising over the last 12 months, as has the amount of threats and verbal abuse suffered by staff.
